18 days of Colorado...

felt like a month!  I've been in Colorado forever... not really, only 18 days :-)  I had a blast though.  I visited a bunch of friends and family that I haven't seen in a while.  I drove up to Steamboat Springs with my brother Alex.  We visited with my 2 favorite housekeepers - Kathy and Mary Jo.

We also hung out with my friend Rich and some of his friends for a while.  I don't have any pictures!  I can't believe I didn't take any?!?

Prudence and I planned a fantastic bachelorette party for JJ... can't post any of those pictures  :-)

Visited with my Grandpa and Jan.

Tried to see the solar eclipse with some paper but it was too cloudy...
Had dinner and T-Snow with my brother Clayton and his family... learned a new song for Tropical snow that the kids sing... you'll have to let them sing it to you though :-)   Clay took me to Eaton to see their new house that is being built ....

Lennox is always happy.  :-)
Clayton!  Layla actually took this shot :-)

Went out to Ft Morgan to see Phillip & Elysse.  This is their sweet dog Bell.

Had a great morning with Aryssa and Chloe at their field day on the last day of school.

Then there was the big day - the reason I came to Colorado for so long - Jacque and Jasons wedding!  It was a great day and lots of fun... I'm still recovering...  :-)  Met some great people - some of which I hope to see again....  :-)

It was a great time! I am ready to get back home though but I will miss everyone and can't wait to come back again.  :-)

Colorado!

I've been in Colorado for only 4 days and its been an adventure already!  Southwest Vacations priced my car wrong and the car rental company upgraded me for it.  So I'm driving a nice little Ford Escape.

The first night I was here, I stayed with my brother Brandon and his girlfriend.  It was great to visit with them and they made a wonderful crepes breakfast Sunday morning.

Then I met up with JJ and friends in Central City/Blackhawk where I lost a little money.  Guess I have to go back to work since I didn't win big.   It was a lot of fun though.

Stopped at my brother Clayton's house on the way from Blackhawk to Indian Meadows.  Love my nieces and nephew!  Can't wait to see them next week ...

At Indian Meadows now in the Poudre Canyon... theres a huge forest fire about 15 miles from here...

Much more to come....   :-)

I found a winning lottery ticket in the trash and I have to give the money back??

I didn't really, but I got your attention :)   I get all my news from Yahoo... probably not the best source of news but I login to check my email so I see the news they have on their website.  This morning this is what I read....
http://news.yahoo.com/woman-lost-ark-lotto-ticket-entitled-1m-001711454.html

Seriously???  First, if I found a winning ticket in a trashcan, I'm not going to admit that!  I would claim it as my own.  Second, the lady that threw it away, THREW IT AWAY!  Enough said.  She shouldn't even be in this story!  And the judge says the lady that threw it away is entitled to the money???  So if I find something - lets say a coin - in my neighbors trash and I pawn it for $1M, my neighbor can claim it?  Or I'm playing at a casino and I leave my machine.  Someone sits down and wins the jackpot as soon as I get up, can I claim that?  This is just insane that the lady that relinquished the ticket by throwing it away can now claim it as her own!  What is wrong with our justice system?  This case shouldn't have even went to court....

No more Titanic Dives...

So I have list of things I'd do when I win the lottery... There's a company that does (did) Titanic dives and as people that know me know I'm obsessed with the Titanic.  It costs $60,000 to take a Titanic dive!  Crazy right??  Thats why it's on my 'When I Win the Lottery' list.  Unfortunately the only company that does this is no longer doing it.  Apparently they quit doing these dives in 2005 but had so many people request it for the Century Anniversary that they are doing 3 trips this summer and then thats it.  So looks like I'll have to cross this off my list.  :(  So very sad.

So a bit of extra info -  Each trip they take to the site is 12 days long.  Takes 2-1/2 hrs to dive down to the site.  They take 20 people on each 12-day trip. The 3 trips they have planned for this summer are are sold out... 20 people x 3 trips x $60,000... what does x equal?  Thats a lot of money!!!

Here's the website if you want to know more.  :)   http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/10/travel/titanic-last-dive/index.html

6 Months since my last blog???

September?  Really?  Wow.   I’m such a slacker.  So a lot has happened since September….Here’s a 30-second update and then I’ll start blogging again tonight….

I went to see the Jacksons in Columbus, GA for Thanksgiving, did nothing much for Christmas, had a not-so-hoppin’ New Years Eve party, finished my yearly letters and Christmas cards and sent them all in January (is that too late?), went to Isla Mujeres, Mexico for my birthday, and nothing much else has happened since then.

Isla Mujeres was great!  First time I’ve been there and would definitely go back.  Very relaxing trip aside from the Cenote ceiling falling in on us…. That was scary!  Here’s some photos from Isla….
